Linda: When I was a child…
April 16, 2008 · Leave a Comment
When I was young I’d listen to the radio waiting for my favourite songs… … and it would bring me back to a childhood, which is the most memorable memory in my mind. I will share it with you below.
I can’t help laughing when I see this photo. The girl who looks just a snowman…
I remembered that my family was on the way to super market. I was so happy to see the heavy snow that we parked the car by the road. I ran and rolled on the ground. I felt very excited) My parents and I played on the ground and threw snow at each other. Right over there, I saw a big tree with heavy snow on it. I shook the tree leaves a little bit, then the snow fell on my head and body. I said “Here! Come and look at me” I said to my mom and dad excitely. They said, “Wow! Linda. You are a really snowman.”
This thing that happened was about several years ago. Until now I can remember it clearly and often think about it. Here is my questions for you: how old was I at that time? (Whoever gets correct answer, I will send a post card to you. No matter in China or in other country? Leave your comments below, my gift is waiting for your correct answer. Thanks.)
Kelen – It’s my birthday!
April 15, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Today is my birthday. I have to say goodbye to my 16 years old.
Now I understood why women always feel sad on their birthdays. Because youth is the best time in life. It is just likes the gold. It is shining and precious. Though time wouldn’t stop for anyone, everyone’s youth gone by the time.
16 is very special to me. I have a lot of secrets in the box which named 16. But now, I feel a little sad, that feeling just like I lost something which is very precious and l will lose it forever. I know that I can’t find it any more and take it back.
So the only thing I have now is the ability to do is that I must learn, which is how to cherish the things all around me and look after them, make a memory beautiful.
Cherish the things all around you. Make the memory beautiful.
Do you agree with me?Please give me your opinion, thanks.

I’m Kelan, a blue girl who likes to play with my piano
April 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Hello everyone. Welcome to Kelen’s house. My name is Kelen. I’m a Chinese girl.
There are four people in my family. My dad,my mom,my elder brother and I. My father retired five years ago. My mom is a doctor, she loves her job very much. Kelvin, my brother, works in Singapore now. I miss him very much. If he could come back home, I will tell him I miss him and I love him.
Well, it is time to introduce myself to you, my dear friends.
Music never fail to appeal to me. Jack Johnson is my favourite singer. The Beatles is my favourite band. Their songs, just like NEVER KNOW, GONE, YESTERDAY, SITTING WAITING WISHING, always move me so much. I love old English songs because they are just like my old friends.
When I feel lonely I will play the piano. Piano is like another old friend. He has a name called “Evening.” Evening means dusk, evening, fall, evening. His name is the same as my Chinese name. That is becuse when I began to play the piano I was only 3 years old. At that moment, I really hated sitting in front of the piano for two or three hours. A couple years later, I gave it up and I felt empty. Now I play it sometimes especially when I am alone with him together. It’s a feeling as if I am talking to an old friend. He will be right there and listen to what I say.
My friends said that I’m a blue girl. Perhaps they are right. I always feel lonely and always thinking, thinking, thinking. I am an ordinary girl, but I am not a vulgar girl and I like making friends.
This is me. Thank you for reading. Write to me something and tell me about you.

I’m Steven – I love badminton and I need more sleep
April 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I live in Beijing —the capital of China.
And now I’m a student, I study in a senior middle school.
I think I’m funny and easy going, so I have many friends at school.
I like sports and the most interesting things I like to do is playing badminton.
Not only does it exercise my body, but it also exercises my mind.
(Not it gives me a physical exercise, but also the process of playing need me to think how to win.)
It’s really interesting
And I hope I have more time to sleep!
(I don’t have enough time to sleep.) ___ We have too much homework.(Math is too hard.)
I have parents who loved me very much.
They do their best create a perfect environment for me in study and life.
I hope you can know many things about China and Beijing from this blog!

My name is Wangyimei. English name is Email. Don’t think too strangely about my english name. I picked this name because “Email” sounds like my Chinese name. I am studying in Shahe High School now. I am going abroad next year. So I have to study English well. I took a lot of training courses, but it is really hard for me.

I’m Iris – a young journalist and rock climber
April 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I see my life as a mosaic. I found this word by looking through the dictionary randomly. Why? Because I tried to organize a rock band with classmates two years ago. We needed a name: a name to present our band, music and spirit. The story between the mosaic and me started….
I’m an enthusiastic person. I’m interested in several fields and have many hobbies. For example, rock climbing, piano and English speeches. I’ve also been a young journalist. As a result, I gained valuable experience and skills from these areas.
I’m also studious with my academic pursuits. I enjoy math and physics. The beauty of logic always intrigued me. Moreover, my study provides a solid foundation of knowledge.
Many seemingly insignificant things often evoke feelings inside of me. I like to jot down ideas and feelings, and in turn combine them into minute descriptions. Furthermore, I often feel compelled to write about horrendous events that are not well covered by newspapers. The reason is that some unsuspecting readers may get false information from the media. I was astonished by the news: severe damage of my hometown’s (Huzhou, Zhejiang province.) environment. I started to think about environmental protection. I therefore became a volunteer to protect the community’s environment and to also help disabled people.
Although we did not establish the band in the end, “mosaic” started to appear in my life. Every little idea and different aspect of my characters helps me to shape and enrich my future life into a big mosaic.

Hey I’m Happy Linda :)
April 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I am 17 years old and always feel happy and have many active ideas. People around me always feel easy. Yes! That is what I want to do. Just take it easy. No matter what happens, take it easy.
There are only 3 people in my family. My mother, my father and I. We get along quite well with my family. You know, we have a lot in common, such as: reading books, and traveling–we have been to many places. The picture below is from a trip I took to Tibet with my family.
My hobbies, well it really includes a lot. Although I am a girl, I like playing basketball. In junior high school there was a girls basketball team in my class and we enjoyed it very much. Now I play it with my boy classmates sometimes in high school. It’s a lot of fun! Also, reading novels can take me away from the actual world. I can relax by myself this way : ) Music is essential. You know, I like listening to popular and classical songs. The song which I can follow is cool as well. I want to make friends with everyone if s/he needs a friend sincerely. And I have a lot of friends, happiness is our key word.
I’d like to be your friend no matter where you are from. I have a pen pal friend whose name is Nate. He is an American. We have been keeping in touch with each other since last year.I hope our friendship will last long.
That’s me. A real Linda~~
